Although the race 35 wasnt complete for this time attack day I had a great time in the stockish r35. I ran with the standard bridgstone tyres and managed to get a few runs in before
the canvas was exposed.

When comparing with the time I last used these tyres I beat my previous PB by 1.4 seconds doing a 58.07 on the sprint track.
I think with newer dunlops I could get into the 56’s without too much drama. This is with full weight and the only power mods on the car are cat back, dump pipes (standard mid pipe) and front mount. These mods would put the car only a fraction above the standard GTR’s power.

(note: my time listed here was actually done by Steve Glenneny)
My time for clubman on the day was 61.xx
I learnt a lot Steve Glenneny on the day. One think I learnt is that he’s an ace driver!
He beat 4 drivers (including mine) PB’s one after the other on a track he’s never driven on before.
Plus had enough time to play around and get the car tail happy.
Some other things I learnt:
Run deep into the final turn and get onto the power asap.
If the car steps out, short shift to bring the car back in line.
annnd, I’m sure there is more. But most of all it comes with experience.
Cheers,
Drew
